2019 REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS


We can't wait for this year's STEAM Fest!  Below are instructions about what this special day is and how to register on this site. 

 

What is STEAM Fest?

STEAM Fest is a half-day annual event hosted at the Forest Trail Elementary campus focusing on various science, technology, engineering, arts, and math disciplines. Over thirty presenters deliver a short 45-minute course on their subject of expertise.

 

This year's STEAM Fest is on Friday, November 15, 2019.

 

All students rotate through two-three courses that they and their parents choose for them to attend, much like one does in college. The course catalog is available on the Forest Trail Booster Club website (here!). All courses are free for students to attend, as all students are required to choose courses they want to take. Regular classes are suspended on STEAM Fest day, so participation in STEAM Fest is both mandatory and fun! Click below to view this year's course catalog.

VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP

 

Update for 2019:

We will NOT be having Early Registration this year but we still need YOU to volunteer!  We trust that our parents want to be involved in this special day and hope that you can find a place to serve a few hours and help make this day possible. Please note, due to liability reasons and logistics, only parent volunteers and EISD students are allowed on campus this day.

Volunteer Sign Ups will be available here on Monday, November 4th at 10am at the same time as Course Registration.

General Registration 

Monday, November 4 at 10am through Saturday, November 9

Please review the course catalog with your child(ren) this week to find out their course choices and at least 2 alternates in case a class becomes full.  Our registration system has been designed similar to purchasing tickets to a show:  once you make your selections and check out, you will not be able to make edits.   

  1. Log into https://www.fteboosterclub.com/home 
  2. Click the Yellow Login button. You will see 2019 STEAM DAY  under Packets / Volunteer/ Forms. (You can also get there by going to My Account-> My Forms tab) 
  3. Select a volunteer opportunity - we need you! 
  4. Choose the courses for your child by session. 
                                   Kinder – 1st Grade = choose 2 courses (based on availability)
                                   2nd – 5th Grade = choose 3 courses (based on availability)
  5. These courses will be added to your cart for 10 minutes. After that time, your course selection will not be on hold for you.  You MUST COMPLETE the 'Check Out' process in order to reserve your child's spot in the selected class.  (There is no cost, but you will receive a confirmation receipt.)  

Important Reminders:

  • Make sure you have Checked Out by looking at the green status bar at the top of your screen (you should not have any items in your Cart). 
  • Any child who is not registered by their parent before November 10th will be assigned to classes that have availability.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with your child's course selections. If you do not receive an email, double-check that your Shopping Cart is empty.  
  • You will also receive a separate email if you have signed up to Volunteer.
  • If you get an error. double check your class choices to make sure you haven't signed your child up for the same class twice.  You will only be able to choose one class per session.
